Fonts and other stuff
These are all in PC Truetype format, but they will install on Mac OS X as well. You have to download and unzip them before you can install them. At some point I'll convert them to opentype...StoneSkip
It's inspired by stones you find on the beach that are good for skipping. I tried to make each letter look perfect for skimming over the surface of a lake or pond.
Nancy Sweet
Nancy is my 4 year old daughter. She sits next to me when I'm drawing icons and fonts and does her own.
Dop
Dop needs some work, but it's one of my more systematic fonts where I'm working within a grid using set parameters, a lot like blurrypix.
Scratchiti

Here I'm trying to capture the feel of graffiti that gets scratched into subway windows and surfaces.
Blurrypix
This tries to get at the essence of low-res. I built it on a strict scheme, using 2 different size circles and straight lines only. I'm trying to make the most legible pixel-font in existence, and this is a go at it.
Guppy Bold
Guppy was inspired by a Typecon workshop held by Ken Barber, in NYC. If you ever get a chance to see him in action, do it. It's brushy, but also looks like those guppies we would use for bait to catch snappers.
Guppy Regular
Another, lighter weight of Guppy.
Beezwax
My first full-on font, based on graffiti forms I've been interested since I was a kid. I love graffiti, not for any social statements or challenging cultural issues it raises, but purely for its formalism; lettering is a high art, and graffiti pushed it to its limits.
Lettering Template
--print it out, write your letters, scan it high-res, and email me the file. I'll make you a font for free.
